Kyndall Sillanpaa

Kyndall Sillanpaa is a London based writer/director from Northern California and alumni of NYU Tisch/Playwrights Horizons. Known for her psychologically probing work and ability to immerse audiences in the liminal spaces of her plays, she has previously directed adaptations of Vinegar Tom and Constellations, and created several short-form multi-disciplinary performance art pieces with the Tisch School of Arts at New York University. Kyndall was acclaimed in 2020 for forming the only “bubble” artist residency in America during which she wrote and directed site-specific new work Ghost Tape Number 10. She most recently wrote and directed multi-media piece SCAPE which premiered at the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe before being featured in the Side/Step Festival at London’s COLAB Tower. She is the co-founder of the production company POPE JOAN.
